David entered the private practice of law in Nashville in 2004 and joined Corbett Crockett in 2009. Prior to moving to Nashville, he practiced at DeHay and Elliston, LLC in Dallas, Texas, where he concentrated his practice in the area of premise liability defense.

David was awarded his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, in 2000, and his Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law, in 2003, where he was a member of the Board of Advocates, the Student Bar Association and the ATLA Mock Trial Team. During law school, David interned at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office and worked in the W.W. Caruth, Jr. Child Advocacy Clinic.

Licensed to practice law in the courts of the State of Tennessee and in the federal courts for the Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee, David has represented clients in a wide array of legal disputes. He has appeared as counsel at all levels of state court, including the Tennessee Supreme Court. He is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations and is the 2010-2012 Fellow to the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. David is also on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAI-TN) and is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).

David is also active in the Nashville community. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Friends of Shelby Park, the Board of Directors of the Nashville Education Community and Arts Television Corporation, and is serving as the Young Leaders Council intern for the Board of Directors of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville. David also currently serves on the Fund Development Committee for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.

David practices primarily in the areas of business litigation, real estate law, and corporate and commercial transactions.
