There’s nothing but Strikes for Team Corbett Crockett!!!

Tuesday May 17th 2011, the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee will be hosting their annual Lawyers for Littles Bowl for Kids’ Sake event.  This is a great fundraiser for Big Brothers and Big Sisters and even though it’s a competitive sporting event, teams will have fun knowing that every strike, or gutterball, is for a local child. The goal of this year’s event is to have 30 competing teams and raise at least $25,000.

Corbett Crockett participated in the event for the first time last year and walked away with awards for the Highest Team Score and Most Pledges Raised.  J. David Wicker served as the team captain last year and has vigorously begun putting a team together and raising pledges for this year’s event.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters has been making an impact on the lives of children for over 100 years! This organization provides positive adult role models to children who need it the most. Children who are matched with a Big are 52% less likely to skip school, and 81 % of former Littles surveyed agree their Big gave them hope and changed their perspective.

The event will be held on May 17, 2011 at Hillwood Strike and Spare, located at 3710 Annex Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee 37209. Registration is at 5:30 p.m.  and bowling starts at 6 p.m.  Five-person bowling teams will compete for the best bowling score, team name, costumes/bowling shirts, and most importantly, to raise the most money for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

J. David Wicker currently serves on the Fund Development Committee for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee and is Co-Chair of the 2011 Lawyers for Littles Bowl for Kids Sake Event.
